The City of Cadiz is taking bids for the “Put A Roof On It” project to build a structure for the Cadiz Farmers Market that is located at the old Washer’s IGA parking lot.
The bid notice was printed in a recent edition of the Cadiz Record newspaper. The notice details the bid specifications and notes that bidders will have until June 1 to submit a sealed bid for the materials and construction for the project.
Plans for the “Put A Roof On It” project were approved during the May Cadiz City Council meeting. The 2022-23 Trigg County Leadership class spearheaded the project by raising money to build the roof over the farmers market that was formally located between the Cadiz Baptist Church Annex and Renaissance Square. Two attempts to construct the project 2022 proved unsuccessful when the structure collapsed.
