A traffic stop on North Main Street in Hopkinsville for not having tail lights led to drug charges for an Elizabethtown man Tuesday night.
Hopkinsville Police say they stopped 23-year-old Tina Morris, of Livermore, for her tail lights being out and found her to not have a driver’s license or insurance. During the stop, a law enforcement K9 reportedly alerted on the vehicle and marijuana, a digital scale, $969 in cash, a needle, and a loaded handgun were found.
Police say the passenger 28-year-old Kristian Goodwin was found to have 15 grams of meth in his pocket.
Goodwin was arrested and charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and trafficking meth. Morris was also arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, no tail lamps, no operator’s license, and failure to produce an insurance card.
