Officials with FNB Bank made two critical announcements earlier this week, confirming the recipient of the 2023 Designation of Savings Excellence Award from America Saves, and the donation of $15,000 to the Murray-Calloway County Hospital and its new state of the art Regional Cancer Center.
The “DOSE” Award is the only national honor focused on recognizing financial institutions that work in helping Americans improve financial stability.
It’s a coveted honor for banks and credit unions, as institutions that make “extraordinary effort” to promote effective saving behaviors in communities — and especially during the “America Saves” annual campaign, which this year took place from February 27 to March 3.
Using FNB Bank and hundreds of other institutions, nearly 9 million people deposited more than $788 million into new or existing savings accounts during this timeframe.
Meanwhile, as part of the donation to MCCH, FNB officials will be naming the Radiation Clinic Nursing Station. The new Regional Cancer Center is a $15 million project, covering 17,954 square feet. It will provide detection, diagnosis, and care services all under one roof.
In a written statement, Sally Hopkins, FNB President and CEO, said the specialized treatments, services and care provided will be “an invaluable resource to our region during a time when patients need local and dedicated care the most.”
This Regional Cancer Center is located on 8th Street in Murray, and will offer patients and their families hometown care from highly skilled specialists.

FNB Bank currently has 10 offices located in Graves, McCracken, Calloway, Trigg and Marshall counties, and is Member FDIC and an Equal Housing Lender.
