The recent session of the Trigg County returned three felony indictments with several other cases carried over to the next session.
38-year-old Justin Evans and 38-year-old Lana Simlick – both of Cadiz – were indicted on a charge of complicity to third-degree burglary stemming from a Cadiz Police Department investigation.
They are charged with the February theft of money from the Cadiz Coin Laundry on Main Street. Cadiz Police said the suspects pried open an office door and took $200 in change. They were identified through security camera footage from the business.
The grand jury also indicted 21-year-old Ty Saez of Cadiz on charges of first-degree robbery; first-degree burglary; and complicity to theft under $500.
The charges are in connection with a Kentucky State Police investigation from October 2021 where Noah Beaudry and Dequain Mayes were charged with entering a Woodland Drive home, pointing a gun at two people, and demanding money and marijuana. Beaudry and Mayes were indicted in December 2021.
