Marlene Stevens, age 84, of Princeton, passed away Friday, June 9, 2023, at Princeton Nursing & Rehab. Marlene was a member of Midway Baptist Church. She fiercely loved her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Later in life, Marlene loved traveling.
Marlene was born October 13, 1938, to the late Hayden and Virginia Reddrick Mitchell in Caldwell County.
She is survived by daughters, Marsha (Dale) Morris of Caldwell County and Teresa (Melvin) Jenkins of Princeton; sons, Homer Stevens, Jr. of Eddyville and Ralph (Robin) Stevens of Cadiz; sisters, Marcella Carr of Mayfield, Glenda Culver of Princeton, Judy Hargrove of Cadiz and Gloria Coleman of Princeton.
Grandchildren, Melvin Jenkins, Jr., Amy Nicole Ensley, Josh Morris, Ginny Beth Appleton, Lauren Dickerson, Jordan Stevens, Aaron Stevens, Brooklyn Stevens, and Colin Stevens; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Greenlie, Hunter, Taylor, Lilly, Marley, and Bentley Jenkins, Wyatt and Weston Ensley, Darian Stevens, Maggie Rhodes, Layla Dickerson, and Derrick Dickerson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Hayden Ervin Stevens; sisters, Ruby McBride and Shirley Flood.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Monday, June 12, 2023, at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, June 12, 2023, at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Spring Cemetery in Caldwell County.
