Kinfolks Catering and G’s Barbeque took top honors during Friday’s Squealin on the Square Barbeque competition in downtown Hopkinsville Friday.
After a day of cooking and competition judges determined the best pork chop was cooked by Kinfolks Catering. The best ribs were smoked by G’s Barbeque. And the top chicken was cooked by Kinfolk’s catering.
The competition was tough between the five teams that were in the contest. The teams began their day at 6:00 Friday morning, with the cooking getting underway at 9. Teams turned in their best pork chop at three, their best slab of ribs at 4:00, and theie top chicken at 5. The awards were announced at 5:30 prior to the start of Sounds at Six featuring the Extraordinary Gentlemen.
