A Hopkinsville woman was charged after she allegedly assaulted medical staff and a police officer at the hospital Sunday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 37-year-old Donesha Canada was brought to Jennie Stuart Health after consuming alcohol and drugs at a party. She reportedly hit one of the medical staff in the arm and scratched another on the arm before attempting to bite and spit on a police officer while screaming and pulling at her restraints.
She is charged with resisting arrest, second-degree disorderly conduct, third-degree assault of a police officer, and third-degree assault of emergency medical staff.
