Indictments Returned in Hopkinsville Business Burglaries

Nearly two-dozen people were indicted by the recent session of the Christian County grand jury including two out-of-state residents for their roles in the burglaries of two businesses.

37-year-old Brian Ford of Houston, Texas was indicted on charges of burglary, criminal mischief, and two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance in relation to the January 17 burglary at Cayce’s Pharmacy.

33-year-old Anthony Jordan of St. Louis was indicted on charges of third-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief, and theft over $10,000 stemming from the September 15 burglary at the T-Mobile Store where over 20 phones were stolen. Hopkinsville Police said Jordan was one of three people that entered the store through a broken window and took 20 cell phones with a value of over $12,000.

Meanwhile, 19-year-old Kenneth Back of Hopkinsville was indicted on two counts of first-degree rape, from a November investigation by the Hopkinsville Police Department. Their report said Back and the victim were walking on the Hopkinsville Rail Trail when he forced her into sexual intercourse under a bridge and later in a wooded area. Police said Back and the victim had an on and off relationship.

30-year-old Kevrol Hamilton of Hopkinsville and 35-year-old Donald Howard Sr. of Hopkinsville were indicted on unrelated charges of first-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault and 24-year-old Terry Sanderson of Oak Grove was indicted on charges of first-degree wanton endangerment, criminal mischief, criminal trespass, and two counts of fourth-degree assault.

The grand jury was also busy hearing cases involving theft and robbery.

35-year-old Anthony Ray Mixon of Hopkinsville was indicted on charges of receiving stolen property over $10,000 and complicity to receiving stolen property over $10,000.

27-year-old Brianna Valentino and 29-year-old Corriane Valentino both saw an indictment returned on charges of second-degree forgery, identity theft and three counts of felony theft.

49-year-old Monisha Watkins of Hopkinsville was indicted on an identity theft charge, and 43-year-old Deoreo Wilson of Hopkinsville was indicted on second-degree robbery charges stemming from an April 23rd incident.

Nearly half of the cases heard by the grand jury involved drugs.

Indicted for trafficking in a controlled substance were Hopkinsville residents 38-year-old Marisa Oropeza; 33-year-old Sarah Ezell; and 27-year-old Gregory Arnold; as well as 46-year-old Jamie Waller of Nashville, Tennessee and 38-year-old Ryan Jensen of Clarksville.

20-year-old Jeremiah Anderson of Hopkinsville was indicted on charges of enhanced trafficking in marijuana, receiving stolen property, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Indictments for possession of a controlled substance were returned against Hopkinsville residents 21-year-old Jalayshia Bussell; 62-year-old James Carter; and 34-year-old Marcus Lane; and Crofton resident 57-year-old Mark Corby.
