A Fort Campbell man was charged with fleeing from police on US 68 in Cadiz Saturday night.
Cadiz Police say they attempted to stop 23-year-old Joshua Brito for going 35 mph over the speed limit and he fled getting up to 125 mph before hitting a culvert on Victoria Drive and stopping. No one was injured in the crash and the passengers in the vehicle reportedly stated they heard and saw the emergency lights but Brito would not stop.
Brito was arrested and charged with speeding, reckless driving, first-degree fleeing or evading police, license to be in possession, and failure to produce an insurance card.
