T-Shirt Design, Entertainment Revealed For 47th Annual Ham Festival

New Renaissance on Main Director Brianna Hyde conducted her first Trigg County Country Ham Festival meeting Wednesday afternoon, with an update of the online applications, T-shirt designs and entertainment all discussed for the anticipated weekend.

More than 160 vendor packets have been sent out, and Hyde noted the online applications have been a success thus far. More than 80 new and returning vendors are already on record, and of those, 73 already have been placed in their booth spots.

Following a silent vote from the room, Hyde’s front-and-back hand-drawn design for the T-shirt was selected — in what is early preparation for pre-order processing.

She showed off a total of four submitted designs, which included one from Cadiz-Trigg County Tourism, and two others from Henri Brownell of Brownell Design Studios in Cadiz.

His website is brownelldesignstudios.com, and Hyde mentioned that his work and designs could very well be included in the future.

Hyde also illuminated on the confirmed entertainment for the 47th Annual Trigg Pig Shindig, most of which was locked in under contracts and agreements with the city under Janelle Nichols.

Friday, October 13: Justin Cole, Unclaimed Baggage at the Renaissance Stage, and Sierra McKenzie and Rewind in the Old Cee Bee parking lot.

Saturday, October 14: King Kaiju and Ryan Gilchrist, Caleb Blake at the Renaissance Stage, as well as TRIPPP and Legacy in the Old Cee Bee parking lot.

The Rusty Strings will be playing in front of the Justice Center Friday and Saturday, as well, with Two Sisters Petting Zoo in the West Cadiz Park planned for those main times.

Hyde confirmed that Wabash remains the lead business sponsor for the festival, with the Cadiz-Trigg County Tourism Commission the single-highest sponsor with a $20,000 annual budget provision.

Sponsorship packets are due August 1.

The committee’s next meeting is planned for noon July 19 in the third floor of the Cadiz City Hall. All gatherings are open to the public.
