Funeral services for 96-year-old Vada Kirby, of Hopkinsville, will be Wednesday, June 21, at Noon, at St. John Baptist Church in Hopkinsville.
Burial will follow at Rocky Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will begin Wednesday morning at 10:00.
Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She passed on Saturday, June 10, 2023. Vada, the daughter of the late Bill and Gertrude Crump, was born on September 25, 1926, in Crowley Louisana.
Vada was a member of St. John Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Teacher, Mother’s Board Ministry, and Minister/Deacon’s Wives Ministry. She worked as a Cashier with Bellsouth.
She enjoyed reading, teaching the Bible, Sunday School, and training ladies on how to properly dress. She also taught at several crusades.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings.
Survivors include her husband, Pastor Norris A. Kirby; Stepchildren, Doris (Alexander) Stepp and Robin Albert Kirby; a host of nieces and nephews.
