A Christian County man was charged with assault after a report of a woman bleeding from the head on Madisonville Road Sunday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say when they arrived at the home 37-year-old John Walker met them in the driveway but would not tell them what had happened to his wife.
Deputies were reportedly told the woman had hit her head on a ceramic tile during a verbal altercation a few days prior but the woman told them Walker had injured her.
Deputies say she had a red and swollen face along with bruising on the back of her ear and neck and she was barely able to speak.
After being checked out by EMS, Deputies say she may have had orbital and skull fractures. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance for severe injuries.
Walker was arrested and charged with second-degree assault (domestic violence).
