Portions of the Pennyrile Parkway will be temporarily closed Friday from Exit 6 to Interstate 24 in Christian County.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reports the southbound lanes will be closed between 6:00 to 10:00 AM. During that time, drivers can utilize Exit 7 to US 41A to reach Lover’s Lane and Interstate 24, or Exit 6 to US 68 Bypass eastbound to US 41A south for access to Lover’s Lane and Interstate 24.
Additionally, the northbound lanes of Pennyrile Parkway will be closed from Interstate 24 to Exit 5 from approximately 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Friday. Motorists on Interstate 24 will be notified of the closure and directed to use Exit 86 – US 41A north to access Lover’s Lane, US 68 Bypass, and Pennyrile Parkway northbound.
The closures are necessary for pavement repairs at the bridge ends in this section of the roadway.
