A Hopkinsville man is facing a federal drug trafficking charge following an indictment and his Wednesday arrest.
30-year-old Stephen Antwain Taylor was indicted on a charge of possessing with the intent to distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine in February.
Detectives with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office Anti-Crime Unit and agents with the Fort Campbell Criminal Investigations Division arrested Taylor Wednesday. He made his initial court appearance before a U.S. Magistrate Judge in the Western District of Kentucky on Thursday. If convicted, Taylor faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years and a maximum sentence of life in prison.
