Multiple Charges Filed After Early Saturday Pursuit

More information has been released about a man that was charged after a pursuit that started on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Hopkinsville Saturday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say they attempted to stop a car driven by 19-year-opd Dynarian Day at East 21st Street and Fort Campbell Boulevard for failing to stop at the stop sign and he fled. The pursuit came to an end on East 19th Street when he abruptly stopped causing one police cruiser to hit the back of his car and a second to hit the door as he opened it.

Police say Day then fled on foot before being tased and taken into custody, He was treated and transported by Hopkinsville EMS to Jennie Stuart Health due to being tased.

He is charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, reckless driving, first-degree wanton endangerment, disregarding a stop sign, speeding, disregarding a traffic control device, license to be in possession, second-degree fleeing or evading police, failure to maintain required insurance, and first-degree criminal mischief.
