A traffic stop on Clinic Drive in Hopkinsville led to two women being arrested on drug charges Friday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they stopped the vehicle due to noticing 33-year-old Sarah Ezell was a passenger and she had active warrants for contempt of court and second-degree escape.
During the stop, police say Ezell and a second passenger 24-year-old Haley Cummings attempted to hide needles and suspected meth. Cummings was also found to have a warrant for probation violation.
After a search of the vehicle, multiple Gabapentin pills, a THC vape pen, two syringes, along with a syringe with an unknown substance inside were reportedly located.
The driver, 34-year-old Norman Williams was also arrested after he reportedly gave officers a false name and date of birth during the traffic stop.
Williams was charged with giving officers false identifying information. Ezell was charged with possession of meth, and tampering with physical evidence.
Cummings is charged with third-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), second-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension, a prescription controlled substance not in proper container, and possession of marijuana.
