Police are investigating the assault of a Hopkinsville woman on South Campbell Street Sunday night.
Hopkinsville Police say a 27-year-old woman was assaulted with some kind of blunt object during an altercation. No arrest has been made in the assault but the report lists the charge as second-degree assault (domestic violence).
The woman that was assaulted was also found to have a warrant for failure to appear on a theft by unlawful taking charge.
