Mrs. Patsy Ann Kennedy, age 82 of Hopkinsville, passed away at 8:50 a.m., Friday, June 23, 2023, at her residence. Services for Mrs. Patsy will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 26, 2023, at Latham Funeral Home with Gary Michael Templeman officiating. The services will be live-streamed at lathamfuneralhome.com. It was Mrs. Patsy’s request to have a cremation service to follow. Visitation for Mrs. Patsy will be after 11:00 a.m. Monday until the time for the service at Latham Funeral Home.
Mrs. Patsy was born on January 1, 1941, in Todd County. She was a retired teacher with the Christian County School System after 35 years of service. She was a member of Fairview Memorial Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for over 20 years, Member of the Pastor-Parrish Board, and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees. Mrs. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Annie Sue Wood Hampton, and her brother, Henry Carroll Hampton.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Edward Kennedy, her sons, Patrick Ryan Kennedy of Hopkinsville and Steven Neal Kennedy and his wife Na’Kita of Hopkinsville, her grandchildren, Lauryn Kennedy, Natalie Barrow, and Nolan Barrow.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be given to Pennyroyal Hospice, 220 Burley Ave., Hopkinsville, KY 42240 or charity of your choice.
