Ronald “Ronnie” E. Boyd, age 87, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at his home of natural causes. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 30, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church with Brother Ron Hicks officiating and burial to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be held at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church on Friday, June 30, 2023, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mr. Boyd was born on January 30, 1936, in Kelley, KY; the son of the late Oscar Edward and Helen “Pauley” Boyd. Ronnie worked as an insurance and investment broker for Money Concepts. He served for over 15 years on the fair board, JC, and was a deacon and Sunday school teacher at Henderson Memorial Baptist Church. Ronnie was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Sue Boyd of Hopkinsville; his son, Kent Boyd, and his wife Karen of Hopkinsville; his brother, Buddy Boyd of Hopkinsville; his grandchildren, Jill Hairston, and Lurena Shaw; and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Henderson Memorial Baptist Church, 501 Noel Ave, Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
