The combination Family Dollar/Dollar Tree store at 7 Jolly Way in Cadiz will open next week.
Officials with the company tell Your News Edge the store will open for the first time either Thursday, July 6 or Friday, July 7. The timing depends on how quickly employees can finish the store set up following the 4th of July holiday.
The plans for the 10,500-square-foot store were made publicly known during a meeting of the Cadiz-Trigg County Planning Commission on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.
Dollar Tree purchased the Family Dollar company, with the merger finalized on July 6, 2015. Nearly 600 combination stores have opened since the acquisition with over 3,000 additional markets identified for expansion in the coming years.
Similar combination stores operate in Crofton, Elkton, and Dover, Tennessee.
