Verizon Wireless customers in western Kentucky are experiencing a service outage Thursday evening.
The cell phone service provider said that fiber cuts in the Evansville, Indiana area are causing the disruption in service.
Verizon engineers are working with a third-party fiber provider to get those cuts fixed and service restored, but the company does not have an estimated time of service restoration.
Until service is restored, Verizon customers are urged to enable WiFi Calling to ensure they are able to make and receive calls.
