Storm Damage Reported In Lyon, Marshall Counties

Severe storms Saturday evening caused some damage in Marshall and Lyon counties.

Multiple reports of funnel clouds were relayed, as a Tornado Warning was issued for Marshall, Lyon, and Caldwell counties.

Trained weather spotters reported trees down in Moors Campground in Marshall County. Extensive damage was also reported in the Twin Lakes Campground area in Lyon County, with roads completely blocked.

Officials from the National Weather Service in Paducah will survey the storm damage in the coming days to determine if a tornado was actually on the ground.

During the storm, the Caldwell County Mesonet site reported a wind gust of around 50 MPH.
