A Hopkinsville Community College professor is one of two people who were found dead following an apparent murder-suicide in Clarksville Tuesday morning.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department identified the victims as 73-year-old Charles Hill and 71-year-old Hopkinsville Community College mathematics professor Audrey Evans, both of Moore Hollow Road.

MCSO released a statement noting that deputies and investigators reported to the 4200 block and the home after someone reported hearing gunshots from within the home, with an insurance adjuster also reportedly calling 911 with concerns about medical issues.

Deputies reportedly entered the home and found the bodies of Evans and Hill. No details have been released about the incident.

Both were taken to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.
