A Hopkinsville woman was charged with theft after cashing checks from a closed account Wednesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 21-year-old Jai’nyzia Daniel along with someone else deposited four checks that were written from a closed account into an account that was just opened and then took the money out with a banking app.
The checks were deposited in May and totaled $1,725.
Daniel was charged with theft by deception and fraudulent use of a credit card.
