The Todd County Family Resources and Youth Services Center is introducing their first annual Adopt a Student program.
Adopt a Student, similar to the Angel Tree program, pairs specific students to sponsors, according to coordinator Kelli Templeman.
She says over 100 students are currently in need of back-to-school clothing.
Templeman asks that only clothing be donated- the center is partnering with the Happy Feet program to provide students with shoes through proceedings from the Elkton Rotary Firecracker 5k on Saturday.
She adds there is no limit to the number of students someone can sponsor or the amount of money spent on clothing, but each student will need two to three outfits.
Templeman hopes to continue the program every year.
The deadline to sign up is by the end of July. Clothing will be accepted through July 26-August 1.
