Hopkinsville Woman Charged With Food Giant Robbery

A Hopkinsville woman was charged with robbery after she allegedly threatened an employee and took money at Food Giant on North Main Street in Hopkinsville Monday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say 21-year-old Millie Howard entered the store and had a conversation with the manager about her last paycheck. She then allegedly went behind the cash register, waited for an employee to open it, and then pushed them, before grabbing a handful of money.

Police say Howard ran into the parking lot and threatened the employee who was chasing her before driving off in her car.

Howard was located on Whitney Place with a juvenile that had been in the car during the incident at the store. Howard was arrested and charged with second-degree robbery, second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor, and third-degree terroristic threatening.
