Lions Club members from Cadiz and surrounding areas celebrated 80 years of service Sunday.
District 43K Governor Bill Pater, who is a member of the Cadiz club, spoke about the importance of participating in the Lions Club for the greater good of the ones who need a helping hand.
Lions Club International Foundation 43K Coordinator Wayne Ebelhar encouraged everyone, non-members or members, to help your community to help themselves.
He also spoke about the importance and meaning of service.
Immediate Past President Marsha Pater shared some statistics from the Lions Club and said that even though these numbers are outstanding, they could be even better with the help of new members.
Marsha also shared some future plans for the Cadiz Lions Club.
The Lions Club 80th Anniversary celebration was held at the VFW Post 7890 in Cadiz where the club has regular meetings.
