Brockman says the spirit of community hasn’t changed and the department is in good hands with incoming superintendent Toby Hudson. He also adds he has “flunked retirement” and has a part-time position lined up that he will be announcing in the fall.

Retiree Robert Martin served the city for 20 years as its Chief Financial Officer. He says it hasn’t fully set in yet that he’s retiring, and he’s been very fortunate to have wonderful colleagues during his career.

Also retiring is City Clerk Crissy Fletcher with 27 years, Deputy Police Chief Michael Seis with 22 years, and Police Chief Clayton Sumner with 21 years- the latter two unable to be present.

With 98 years of service between all retirees, they leave a legacy of dedication and leadership to the city.
