Richard “Ricky” Reed, 57, of Crofton, KY died at 9:52 a.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at his residence.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Pastor Bailey Davie officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Christian County, KY he was born April 26, 1966, the son of Richard L. Reed of Crofton, KY, and the late Barbara E. Reed. Ricky was the owner of United Van & Truck. He was a member of Fruit Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to his father include his wife: Cheryl Reed Spain; his children: Richard Lee “Lil Ricky” (Kayla) Reed of Cerulean, KY, Robert Lee Spain of Crofton, KY, and Taylor Reed (Will) Mathis of Greenville, KY; his sister: Cindy Reed (Stephen) Glass of Crofton, KY; his grandchildren: Kay-Lynn Spain and Elsie Ann Reed; his nieces: Lauren Glass (Justin) Nash, Danielle Spain (Justin) Grace, Miranda Manahan, and Kayleigh Manahan; his nephews: Lane Glass, Heath Spain, Zach Manahan, and Garrett Spain; and his great niece: Hadley Nash.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Warm the Children.
