Martha Argotte and Ashton Winfield represented the 2023 Walk to End Alzheimer’s at today’s Kiwanis Club of Hopkinsville meeting.
Committee member Martha Argotte tells the club this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s is slated for Saturday, Sept. 23. The ceremony will begin at 9:45 a.m. at the Justice Center.
Ashton Winfield with Charter Living says the walk’s kickoff event will be at the assisted living facility next week on Tuesday, July 25 at 5:00 p.m.
She adds the FDA recently approved a drug that will help slow the progression of the disease.
Kiwanis President Chandler Ladd also announced all “Happy Dollars” from the club in the month of August will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association.
