Cadiz Pair Charged With Gentry Gray Road Burglary

More information has been released about a report of a suspicious vehicle that led to a burglary investigation in Trigg County Monday morning.

Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree says they were called to Gentry Gray Road to investigate a suspicious vehicle and found 40-year-old Kevin Marquess and 59-year-old Leslie Mathis inside the vehicle.

They both allegedly claimed they were visiting an old relative’s home. During the investigation, it was found they had reportedly been in a home that has not been occupied in several years.

Trigg County Sheriff’s Deputy Joe Witherspoon and Deputy Jon Pettit reportedly found burglary tools, wigs, crystal meth, needles, and marijuana inside the vehicle.

They were both arrested and charged with second-degree burglary, possession of meth, and possession of marijuana. Marquess was also charged with possession of burglary tools.
