A Hopkinsville man was served two warrants for theft in connection to separate shoplifting investigations Sunday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say on July 7th 62-year-old James Carter took more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from Ulta Beauty on Fort Campbell Boulevard by putting it in his backpack and leaving the store without paying.
In a separate shoplifting incident on the same day he reportedly took a portable air conditioner valued at $329 from Lowe’s without paying.
He was served two warrants for theft by unlawful taking and given a date to appear in court.
