Men2Be Celebrates Volunteers and Successful Year

Men2Be continues to grow and step in for young men in Christian and surrounding counties who need positive male role models. The organization held its 3rd Annual Gala fundraiser Saturday night with nearly 300 people in attendance.

Commonwealth Center for Fathers and Families Chief Visionary Officer, David Cozart came to celebrate the night and share a few words of encouragement.

click to download audioHe applauded Men2Be for its work so far and encouraged the leaders and mentors to use the resources around them.

click to download audioThe group took the opportunity to recognize one part of its resources – its 2023 Distinguished Workers – men and women whose dedication to the organization help make things happen. This year’s recipients were Anthony Babb, Phillip Brooks, Eric Coleman, Mary Holland, Jeanette Hopson, Janice Johnson, Austin Moss, Dr. Anthony Sanders, Buddy Slaughter, and Dr. Tresa Croney-White.

Two individuals were honored with the Welcome Home Distinguished Worker Award – Retired Sergeant First Class (US Army) Cleavon Bronaugh and Retired Master Sergeant (US Air Force) LaCherie Bryant-Fails.

The night was a fundraiser and the goal was $40,000. Donations can still be made.
