Christian County Schools has announced that two juniors at Christian County High School will attend science and mathematics academies at universities this fall.
Peyton Hilton will be attending the Craft Academy for Excellence in Science and Mathematics at Morehead State University, while Kaleb Nenoff will be attending the Gatton Academy of Science and Mathematics at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green.
Both academies are highly competitive early college admission programs and are designed to provide students with additional learning opportunities in higher-level courses of mathematics and science.
Nenoff will be joined at Gatton this fall by University Heights Academy students Cole Glover, Katie Isaacs, and Rudra Patel.
The Craft Academy and The Gatton Academy are both two-year residential programs for Kentucky high school students. The rigorous programs are designed to challenge gifted students and allow them to fully emerge in post-secondary dual credit opportunities while still being enrolled in high school.
Hopkinsville High School seniors Daniela Lopez and Angela Rutherford are beginning their final year at Gatton Academy.
