Excessive Heat Watch Issued For Western Kentucky

The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued an Excessive Heat Watch for all of western Kentucky from Noon Monday to 10:00 Thursday night.

With temperatures expected to soar close to 100 degrees, and heat indices up to 110 – everyone is urged to take precautions to stay safe and cool. The NWS says everyone needs to limit outdoor activities, stay hydrated, and check on vulnerable individuals during that time.

This will likely be the worst heat wave we have experienced this summer in terms of duration. The multiple-day aspect of this excessive heat will add to the impact.
