A man and woman were charged after a high-speed pursuit in Christian County Saturday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding in the construction zone around the three-mile marker of Pennyrile Parkway. The driver Elijah Boodoosingh, of Hopkinsville, pulled over but then fled at a high rate of speed after the deputy exited his vehicle.
Deputies say during the pursuit a bag was thrown out of the vehicle, which nearly hit two other vehicles along with nearly causing a collision with a law enforcement vehicle.
The pursuit came to an end on Binns Mill Road when he lost control in a curve causing the vehicle to run off the road.
Boodoosingh was arrested and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, no insurance, speeding, reckless driving, tampering with physical evidence, and three counts of wanton endangerment.
A passenger in the vehicle, Alesha Drapper was also charged with complicity on the same charges due to her allegedly helping him with directions during the pursuit.
