More information has been released about a bicyclist injured in a collision with an SUV on Lafayette Road in Christian County Tuesday morning.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say just after 11 am the bicyclist former Hopkinsville Mayor Wendell Lynch was northbound near Lovers Lane when a northbound SUV driven by 81-year-old Betty Warren of Hopkinsville struck him.
Warren reportedly told deputies she was passing him and thought she had gotten over enough.
Lynch was treated and transported by Hopkinsville EMS to Jennie Stuart Health for injuries then later taken to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
