The 2023-24 Cadiz-Trigg County Leadership class hosted by the Trigg County Chamber of Commerce began Wednesday.
The retreat/orientation for the class took place in the D.J. Everett III Radio Room located inside the WKDZ/WHVO studios. Chamber Membership Director Beth Sumner told Your News Edge the first day served as a chance for members to get an overview of the upcoming experience.
The class includes eight members: Faye Godair, Brianna Hyde, Lindsey Kinslow, Danika Patel, Brenda Price, John Schuzer, Cameron Sumner, and Colson Thomas.
For September’s class day, the group will learn about local agriculture.
Sumner said October will serve as a community and project day, as the group determines what the greatest need is in Cadiz and Trigg County.
This year’s class will get a chance to visit Fort Campbell and learn more about local government, the local school district, and local businesses, among other areas. The class will graduate in June 2024 during the Trigg County Chamber of Commerce annual members dinner.
