James ‘Hooksie’ Williams, 81, of Bumpus Mills

There will be a private graveside service for 81-year-old James “Hooksie” Williams of Bumpus Mills, TN at the Burgess Cemetery in Christian Co., KY.

A public Visitation for Mr. Williams will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, August 25, 2023, at 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Shela Williams of Bumpus Mills; a daughter, Carol Ann Williams (Michael Dutton) of Westford, Massachusetts; a son, Jeremy Bucciarelli (Kendra) of Big Rock, Tennessee; one granddaughter, Cara Bucciarelli; two brothers, Joseph E. Williams (Barb) of Clarksville, Tennessee and George E. Williams (Lyn) of Brisbane, Australia; and one sister, Jo Ann England (Norman) of Clarksville, Tennessee.

James “Hooksie” Williams passed away on:
Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Henry Co. Medical Center in Paris, TN

Born April 18, 1942, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late George Earl Williams, Sr. and the late Josephine Smith Williams. He retired after working for 30 years as a lineman and cable splicer for BellSouth in the Clarksville, Tennessee area. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam era.”Hooksie” had a passion for the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He had a great love for his family and especially being “Papa” to his granddaughter, Cara.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Real Life Church, P.O. Box 3798, Clarksville TN 37043, or to the Friends of Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge and Cross Creek National Wildlife Refuge,1371-C Wildlife Drive, Springville TN 38256.
