Two Charged With Having Marijuana In Vehicle With Child

A Cadiz man and woman were charged with endangering the welfare of a minor after a report of the smell of marijuana coming from a vehicle on Main Street Tuesday morning.

Cadiz Police say school officials told them about the vehicle. The driver, 30-year-old Kayla Encinias, claimed there was no marijuana in the vehicle but after a search marijuana edibles, pipes, a grinder, and other packaging for edibles were found inside the vehicle with a child.

Three BB guns that looked like real firearms were found inside the vehicle as well.

Kayla Encinias and her passenger 29-year-old Jack Encinias-Fell were arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a minor, second-degree disorderly conduct, and possession of marijuana.
