Tennessee Men Charged After Pursuit In Stolen Vehicle

Two Tennessee men were charged after they allegedly fled from law enforcement in a stolen vehicle on Oak Tree Villa Drive Saturday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say they were called to the area after a city camera alerted them of a stolen vehicle and when police arrived the vehicle was leaving a parking lot and hit a law enforcement vehicle with emergency lights and sirens on.

All four people in the vehicle 20-year-old Ka’Bari Carr, of Dover, and 18-year-old Javeon Mayo, of Clarksville, along with two juveniles attempted to flee the area but they were all apprehended.

Police say a handgun loaded with hollow-point ammunition was found in the vehicle.

Both men were arrested and charged with first-degree criminal mischief, using restricted ammunition during a felony, receiving stolen property, second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor, and two counts of first-degree fleeing or evading police. Carr was also charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
