A Clarksville man was charged after he reportedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend on West 2nd Street in Hopkinsville Wednesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 22-year-old Wannye Boone entered his ex-girlfriend’s house uninvited and started arguing with her calling her names and accusing her of cheating.
During the altercation, he reportedly grabbed her by the hair, punched her several times in the face and body, then kicked her in the chest and back.
Police say her phone was broken in the altercation and her friend was able to take her to the hospital where she then called for law enforcement.
Boone was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree assault (domestic violence).
