Cavasier Promoted To Hopkinsville Deputy City Clerk Trainee

For the past eight months, Michelle Cavasier has been working as the City of Hopkinsville’s afternoon receptionist.

But she’s recently moved to the second floor of the Municipal Building, accepting a promotion to Deputy City Clerk trainee under City Clerk Brittany Byrum.

She began the new position August 21, and previously worked in the medical field.

She and her active-duty husband, Brandon, have been married for 10 years. When they moved to Fort Campbell in 2021, it was the fourth different military installation the couple had called home: joining Fort Stewart, Fort Bragg and Fort Hood.

According to Cavasier, this new role will help her get to know more about her community — a new and exciting challenge, but also a “great opportunity to learn and grow alongside a great team of people.”

Meanwhile, Byrum was officially sworn in as the City of Hopkinsville’s City Clerk on July 31, replacing the recently-retired Crissy Fletcher. She will train Cavasier, who is originally from Spokane, Washington.
