Funeral services for 89-year-old Dorris West, of Hopkinsville, will be 2 PM Tuesday, September 5, at Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery.
Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include:
His wife of five years, Elvira L. Baker-West, of Elkton;
Two sons, Danny Edward West, of Pembroke, and Dewayne West, of Cadiz;
Step-son, Dwaine Oatts, of Florida;
Four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Rev. Neil Immel is officiating.
West was born May 12, 1934, in Christian County, the son of the late Elvie E. and Beulah Mae Perkins West.
He was a farmer and worker at Moelight, Ebonite and Thomas Industry. He was a veteran of the US Army National Guard and a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Joyce West in 2017; and his step-daughter, Sherry Miller.
