Tennessee Man Charged After Hopkinsville Pursuit

A Clarksville man was charged after he reportedly led law enforcement on a high-speed pursuit Monday night.

Hopkinsville Police say they attempted to stop 26-year-old Valdarious Starks for a turn signal violation on Fort Campbell Boulevard and he fled, getting up to speeds of 85mph. The pursuit  ended when the car hit a concrete wall and Starks fled on foot.

He was later located on Sivley Road and during the investigation he was found to have two guns, 16 M30 pills, and marijuana. Police say Starks offered money to officers to drop charges.

He was arrested and charged with speeding, reckless driving, possession of marijuana, trafficking fentanyl, first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, and two counts of first-degree fleeing or evading police.
