The Christian County Chamber of Commerce has hired Shannon Lane as the new Director of Military Affairs.
Lane, a retired Army veteran with over 21 years of service, will assume the position on Monday.
He replaces Kristi Murtha, who accepted a position at Fort Campbell.
Lane brings a strong relationship network at Fort Campbell and a background in operations/program management to the role.
His responsibilities will include maintaining and strengthening relationships with Fort Campbell and the military community and organizing and coordinating Military Affairs Committee activities. Additional responsibilities include; advocating for military families at the local, state, and federal levels, and marketing the community as military-friendly.
Lane and his wife, Kristine, who is also an Army veteran, have six children and reside in Christian County.
