Services for 77-year-old Larry Eugene Lancaster of Nashville and a native of Cadiz, will be private.
He is inurned at the Episcopal Cathedral in Nashville, TN.
He is survived locally by several cousins and many close friends.
Larry Eugene Lancaster passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023, in Nashville.
Born July 22, 1946, in Cadiz, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Otis H. Lancaster and the late Ruby Rhea Ezell Lancaster.
Larry was a 1965 graduate of Trigg County High School. He received a master of science in nursing and an Ed.D. from Vanderbilt University before joining the faculty in 1973 with a joint appointment as an instructor in medical-surgical nursing at the School of Nursing and as a clinical specialist in nephrology at Vanderbilt University Hospital. In 1995, he was promoted to professor of nursing, retiring in 2012.
