Mediation Possible in Murder Complicity Case

A pretrial mediation could be in the works for one of the three people charged with a shooting death in Hopkinsville nearly two years ago.

Dekorian Daniel is charged with complicity to murder in the death of Adrian Acree, who was killed on October 26, 2021, following some type of altercation on Jones Street near the intersection of Sharpe Street.

During an appearance in Christian County Circuit Court Wednesday morning, Fifth District Commonwealth’s Attorney Zac Greenwell told Judge John Atkins a mediation is likely in the case.

Also charged with complicity to murder in the case is Jaila Sherrod, who Greenwell said had not been made a similar mediation offer by the Commonwealth.

Greenwell said he would like to see Sherrod’s case be tried before Daniel.
