Kentucky State Police is investigating the death of an inmate at the Christian County Jail on Monday.
55-year-old Michael Braswell was found dead in his jail cell Monday morning. Major Mike Sandbrink with the jail said no foul play was suspected and as per jail policy, state police were called to investigate,
A call to Kentucky State Police Post 2 seeking information about the incident was not returned.
Braswell was scheduled to appear in Christian County Circuit Court Wednesday morning when Judge John Atkins told attorneys that Braswell had died. According to the Christian County Jail website, Braswell had been incarcerated since May.
