Arguments In Stinson Trial Will Begin Thursday Morning

Following more than 2 ½ days of extensive voir dire, a jury of seven men and seven women was selected in Trigg County Circuit Court Wednesday afternoon — in front of them, the trial of Landon Stinson vs. The Commonwealth of Kentucky.

As per the rules of criminal trials, Circuit Judge Natalie White put forth an order of admonishment for the 14, before noting the deliberations between the prosecution and defense will begin at 10 AM Thursday.

And, per protocol, two jurors will be removed at random following the conclusion of arguments — and will serve as alternates, if needed.

Furthermore, White noted this jury will work under a unique restriction in the box.

Between early Monday morning and Wednesday’s lunch hour, officials got down from 101 to 32 prospective jurors, meaning 18 were struck.

Stinson is charged with the July 2021, 216 Cerulean Road double murder of family members Sue Faris and Matthew Blakeley.
